Gone Hiking

For me, there's nothing better than the feeling of the sun on my skin and breathing in fresh, crisp air. I've always loved to go for walks, although I haven't done much walking lately. But, when you've got such a picturesque setting to go walking in, it's hard to say no. I just wish we had time for more hikes when we were in Arizona. We hiked for about two hours on this particular day, and we're going to push for more the next time we go hiking!

Do you like to go for walks and/or hikes? If so, what is your favorite place to take a walk or hike?

    1. I wouldn't call myself a hiker, but I have enjoyed it the few times I've done it. I just wish we had more time for hikes while we were there! I'm sure that if I didn't live in a huge city, I would go walking and hiking much more often...Maybe one day :-)

    1. Thanks, Sarah! Isn't that the best feeling? I need to start being more active...I just wish I could escape from the city first, as I much prefer to go walking in a pretty & rural setting! xx

  7. i don't think I've ever seen a really big cactus before in real life! i like hiking if it's spread out like this. otherwise i am looking at the ground so i don't fall and trip over something!

    1. The funny thing is, you don't even realize how big the cacti are until you are right up next to them! I'm am definitely a novice hiker, in that I've only been hiking a few times in my life. I would love to go more often, I just don't have the time or anywhere to do it! I think I will always stick to the easy trails though, I'm not so much into scaling a mountain or having to worry about falling or tripping over something!

    1. Thanks, Rach! If I never vacationed in AZ all my life, I wouldn't know that cacti could grow that big either. In fact, I'd always seen them from a distance, but being right up next to one is a whole different story...some of them are SO enormous and you don't even realize it until you are up close!
