Grilling At Work

Normally the restaurant is not open on Saturdays, but as Argentina was playing, we decided to open and make a lunch "Bien Argentino." What better way to watch a soccer game than with a fully-loaded choripan (chorizo sandwich)? If you were wondering if I ate the chorizo, I did not. Instead, I ate a sandwich full of all of the toppings and it was pretty, pretty, pretty good.

I had a pretty "food-centric" weekend, so expect more foodie photos to come soon!

PS- What do you think of our new sign at Dellepiane?

PPS- Sorry for my recent absence from the blog...haven't had much time to spare for blog posts! Hopefully I will be able to get back on track soon! Thanks for sticking with me :-)

  1. I WANT THAT. What are the toppings?

    1. The toppings are the best part! We have a lettuce & tomato salad, cherry tomatoes-basil-garlic in oil dressing, criolla sauce (tomato & onions in a sweet viniagrette), jalapeños, cabbage & tomato salad, chimichurri sauce, and sauteed onions!

    1. Very cool! When you were here, did you used to go to Costa Nera to get your choripan? I don't really eat meat anymore, but choripan used to be one of my favorite foods here. I still love going down to Costa Nera though! xx

  12. Omg so many thigns to say! Ok, first of all thank you so much for your birthday comment on my blog <3 Second, I didn't know you guys have a restaurant!! I swear the next time I go to BA I'll visit Dellepiane. I really like the new sign, "bien porteño" I would say ;) love it. And last but not least, I don't eat meat either! And you'll understand when I say that not eating meat in Argentina is quite hard. So proud of you tho.
    Have a lovely week!

    1. I'm surprised to hear that you don't eat meat either! While I can't call myself a vegetarian (I still eat fish & chicken sometimes), I consider myself a "flexitarian" and stay away from red meat. I'm sure most people think I'm crazy here haha

Next time you are in Buenos Aires you should stop by! Do you come to Buenos Aires often? I was actually looking into traveling to Salta & Jujuy for the long weekend we have in August, but flights are SO EXPENSIVE! It's more likely we'll end up taking a trip somewhere else for the weekend, but I hope sometime I can get a chance to see that part of Argentina!

Hope you're having a great weekend, and VAMOS ARGENTINA! xx

    2. Oh, chicken and fish are the hardest kinds of meat to leave. I eat both sometimes, too :(
Last time I was in Buenos Aires it was last year, on April. So I guess I don't go as often as I'd like. It's a great city and I'd love to visit it more often! And if you guys ever want to travel to Salta let me know, I'll be happy to show you the city. :)
